7th Grade Legends Monterey Bay Aquarium Field Trip – Thanks to Everyone Who Made it Happen!

We wanted to thank everyone involved with the planning of the trip. The kids had such a great time, and to see everyone so excited and still talking about touching starfishes and the cool things that they learned and experienced was well worth all of the work. We had such a great time hanging with our groups and seeing all of the other groups enjoying the experience. This will definitely be something that the kids will remember and we look forward to trying this process again as we loop with the kids into 8th grade. Thank you all again so much.

7th Grade Legends Teachers

Congratulations to Edna Brewer music!!

On Saturday Edna Brewer’s eighth grade Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Jazz Band traveled to Santa Clara to participate in the Music In The Parks competition at Six Flags Great America. The Jazz Band placed 1st, Jazz Band soloist Jack Perry was awarded a medal for best Jazz Band solo. The 8th grade Orchestra and Symphonic band placed 2nd with a superior rating. Our biggest and proudest moment came when Edna Brewer Middle School won the Esprit de Corps award!

These accomplishments are the results of the hard work, dedication, and love from our Band and Orchestra  Directors Mr. Pitt-Smith and Ms. Stephanie Holmes.

Our New Panther Arrives Wednesday afternoon!

Did you know the Pit will become the Panther’s Lair this week? It’s the Panther made by Brewer Panthers at the Crucible.

We need help installing our Panther at 3 after school at the Pit. If you want to help out, sign up at the main office, or, call Jeff White @ 510.928.5559

Help With ACT Ticket Prize Sales During Most Fridays at Lunch

Our teachers are working to build positive school culture by awarding students with ACT tickets when they display Panther PRIDE. Students can then use their tickets to buy prizes at lunch (11:08am – 12:04pm) on most Fridays. We’ve currently got a crew of 4 parents who have done a wonderful job of rotating in to volunteer for this activity and we are looking to find another 2-3 parents who would be willing to join the pool of volunteers. Can you help on a Friday from 10:45am – 12:04pm in February, March, April, or May? If so, please email lwlange@hotmail.com
