Auction Donation Idea of the Week

Approach one place……….

Everyone has a favorite restaurant, store, or service they rely on and love. This is the week to drop off a donation request letter and see if they will consider making a donation to our auction (overachievers can do more than one). A donation request letter and donation form came home with your student. If that one didn’t survive the backpack, you can download them or pick up a hard copy in the office.  Think about restaurants, gift stores, services (massage therapist, yoga/pilates instructor, car wash/oil change), your friend who has season tickets to a sporting event or theatre, or your child’s guitar/piano/karate instructor.  What are you going to put on the auction table?

Auction Donation idea of the week!

Excited about the auction but not sure how to contribute? Look no further…….
Everyone loves a party! Big auction sellers are parent hosted themed parties such as a progressive dinner party, poker night, ladies night out, martini night, bunko night, dessert tasting, etc. Hosting a party is a great way to raise money for the school with the added bonus of building community and having FUN! Team up with a couple of other families and be creative. Send your party ideas to fundraising@ednabrewer.net Throwing a party is so not your thing?! Stay tuned for more donation ideas. There’s something for everyone!

Final Push for Donation Drive

Thank you to the families who have “fed the kitty” and brought us closer to our Annual Panther Pride Donation Drive goal of $12,000!  The Panther is still hungry!  We need to raise $3000 more in order to fill the bowl.  Take advantage of easy online donations either one time or monthly recurring at www.ednabrewer.net.  Alternatively you can send a check to Edna Brewer PTSA, 3748 13th Ave. Oakland, 94610.  All donations are tax deductible. Don’t forget to see if your employer will provide a matching donation.  Many employers do.

Edna Brewer’s Orchestra Benefit Concert!

Please join us Monday, Feburary 13th at 7 pm. for our first Orchestra Benefit Concert benefiting Edna Brewer’s award wining music program and the PTSA. 

We are proud to host our first Orchestra benefit concert at one of Oakland’s top venues, Oakland Metro Opera House at 630 3rd street near Jack London Square. 

Tickets are limited so please purchase your tickets early.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased through students in the music program or by sending an email to music@ednabrewer.net 

Plenty of volunteers opportunities are available please contact Lisa Terrazas at music@ednabrewer.net or rjtmd@hotmail.com if you can help.

Auction Fiesta!

Edna Brewer Auction Fiesta!

Saturday, April 28, 6:00-10:00pm

Uptown Body and Fender, 401 26th Street, Oakland

 

We are excited to announce that Edna Brewer’s first ever-silent auction: a Fiesta! will take place on Saturday, April 28, at the Uptown in Oakland from 6pm to 10 pm.  It is sure to be a fantastic adult only evening of community fun and fundraising. 

 

We need your help!  There are many ways for you to donate and contribute to the success of this event.

 

  • Donate a service.  Are you a contractor, landscaper, computer whiz, accountant, designer, baker, massage therapist?  We want to auction off your services!
  • Donate time at a time-share, vacation home, condo, beach or ski mountain getaway.
  • Donate tickets to an event (sports, theatre, music).
  • Donate to the Instant Wine Cellar.  Collection days will be in March.
  • Donate a themed gift basket. For more information see our Gift Basket Idea list!
  • Host a themed party. For more information see our Theme Party Idea List!
  • Seek donations from restaurants, shops, and services you frequent.

 

 Please use the donation form for submitting donations or to pass on to potential donors.   Also, we have this Request for Donations letter available for your use in contacting potential donors.

Panther Pride Donation Drive: It’s never too late to donate!

Help feed the kitty before the end of the year. All donations are tax deductible and can be made online, or by cash or check. Checks should be made out to Edna Brewer PTSA and mailed to Edna Brewer Middle School PTSA, 3748 13th Avenue, Oakland, CA 94610, or dropped in the PTSA box in the office. One time and recurring monthly donations can be made on our website www.ednabrewer.net.  
Can you afford $10 a month? . Sign up today for recurring monthly donations. It takes less than 5 minutes to subscribe, and once it’s done, you don’t have to think about it again.

Candy Sales Nov. 14-28

The PTSA is launching a See’s Candy Sale to raise money for all of the different programs we support at Edna Brewer.  Sales Forms will be distributed at the Pact Class on November 9th, with order forms due by 11/28.  Candy will arrive and be available to pick up the first week of Dcember to give out as Holiday presents.  Please support our School!

Fundraising Drive Donate Today!

All families should have received a donation drive letter in the mail last week.  Don’t let it get buried under a pile of papers on your desk.  Send in your donation today or donate online at www.ednabrewer.net.  You’ll be glad you did! We need to reach our goal of $14,000 and we’d like to do that by November 1.  We’re are about half way there!
